What Is Good Thunder Collective?

Good Thunder Collective is an Indigenous owned business rooted in Ojibwe knowledge, relationships, and respect for the natural world. Founded by Nathan “Good Thunder” Smith, an enrolled member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, the Collective offers thoughtfully prepared medicines, handmade goods, and community education inspired by the lands and waters of the Lake Superior region.

Our work is guided by gratitude, cultural responsibility, sustainable gathering, and the belief that knowledge should help strengthen relationships between people, plants, communities, and future generations.

What Do We Offer?

Good Thunder Collective offers a growing selection of traditional medicines, natural goods, and educational experiences. Products may include cedar, sage, sweetgrass, Labrador tea, chaga, medicine bundles, abalone shells, handmade items, and other seasonal offerings.

We also provide community education workshops for schools, nonprofits, Native organizations, community groups, and special events. Workshops may explore the Four Sacred Medicines, respectful gathering, plant identification, seasonal harvesting, medicine preparation, Ojibwe teachings, and our responsibilities to the natural world.

Offerings vary throughout the year based on the seasons, available materials, and what can be gathered or prepared respectfully.
